Indian Head Massage.
Certificate of Indian head massage – College of Mind, Body and Spirit, Forest Lakes.
Indian Head Massage has been used in India for over a thousand years. It is based on the ancient healing system of Ayurveda.
Indian Head Massage is performed on the shoulders, neck, scalp and face, whilst the client is seated. Pressure points (called Marma points) are stimulated with firm but gentle rhythmic movements that stimulate the muscles, blood and lymphatic systems of the body.
Oils are not used, and there is no need to remove clothes. A massage usually lasts 45 minutes.
Indian Head massage is a great way to unwind and to help you sleep better. Some of it benefits include:
- Muscle relaxation. Faces and shoulders are often the first places to feel stress, so a head massage can help relieve tension headaches, relieve sinusitis, and reduce anxiety and stress.
- Increases lymphatic flow, thus eliminating toxins and stimulating your immunity.
- Increasing blood and oxygen flow to the head, thus relieving mental fatigue, improving concentration, and promoting healthy hair growth.
Cost $30 for a 45 minute massage.
